  • The Daughter of an Immigrant

I could not possibly introduce myself without also introducing you to the most influential person in my life, my Dad.

My Dad’s strong work ethic rubbed off on me early in life. Being the child of an immigrant, you are often witness to your parent(s) working twice as hard for half as much, and staying strong in the face of adversity.

My upbringing made me more culturally aware and gave me an appreciation for people from different walks of life. I look for ways to learn about our differences, and try to find ways to bridge any gaps I encounter through productive conversations.

  • GRL MOM

The world has changed a lot since I was a little girl. As a mother, I try to equip my daughters with the right tools and knowledge to grow and thrive in this crazy, image-focused world.

As a mother, my main objective is to raise my daughters (AKA “feMINIsts”) to be women who think for themselves and stand up for what is right-speaking up for people in marginalized groups.

In our home, we have conversations that challenge gender norms, promote equality and social justice and make mental health check-ins a part of our daily routine.

Near and dear to me…
